Key Responsibilities

  1. Review and evaluate credit applications, making recommendations for credit limits and terms based on the company’s risk and insurance policies.
  2. Consistently update Sales team of credit standing of their key accounts.
  3. Maintain customer accounts, including updating credit terms, contact information, and billing preferences as needed.
  4. Review customer orders on a daily basis and release from hold status as allowed by company policies.
  5. Provide excellent customer service while responding to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
  6. Monitor customer accounts, ensuring that outstanding balances are collected in a timely manner.
  7. Maintain accurate records of collection activities and account status.
  8. Contact delinquent customers via phone, email, and mail to resolve outstanding balances, while ensuring compliance with company dunning process and policy.
  9. Negotiate payment plans or settlements with customers as necessary to recover outstanding debts.
  10. Prepare and submit delinquent accounts to insurance carriers or third party collection agencies.
  11. Prepare and distribute regular AR aging reports to management with updates on collection efforts.
  12. Collaborate with the Sales team and other departments to address issues or disputes related to customer accounts.
  13. Process and post payments to customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Reconcile unapplied customer payments.
  14. Assist auditors with requests for information, documents, and explanations related to accounts receivable transactions and processes
  15. Generate monthly reports on outstanding accounts and collections efforts for management review.
  16. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and changes in laws or regulations related to credit and collections.
  17. Collaborate interdepartmentally to develop best practices and to create team synergies.
  18. Complete other related projects and tasks as designated by manager.

This is what you can score highly with

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable management, with a focus on credit analysis and risk management.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience using SAP ERP system for accounts receivable management preferred.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to credit management and accounts receivable.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions and maintaining records.

A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. The salary range for this role is $65,000-$80,000.
